Not like dancing

I found myself in the tango Dancing with danger Catching myself ready to strike He beats me to the mark Twisting and turning He began to control the dance Its become dark Twisted No longer enjoying the thrill The chase has become quick The capture happens Stifling Became to much to handle All Consuming Struggling with shadows What awaits you around the corner Catching glimpses of the matador Actually the captor now It began so quickly Should've thrown speed bumps in the way A stop sign for sure Seeing red Charging full speed like a bull The dance has become a chase And there is no more fun

those poems

Read a book of poems Thinking of ways I can write you down Capture you with my pen Ink on my notebook Colorful words of wonder Hearts and doodles Like a song sung to no music Raw Rustic Beautifully remembered Captured for all to see I am writing of you The one who has the strength of a bull The tenacity to endure to the end The one who doesn't give up The one who is my friend Can't leave you alone Don't want to Smile at the thoughts of you Saving pieces of me just for you For you to write down in your notebook Keep them forever.

Ordinary

Like the rain on Tuesday I stand still and await the rainbow Walking alongside the docks Skipping stones Well more like sinking them Remembering that each week brings A new Tuesday Unlike today But truly unordinary in its perfect way Makes me want to dance A gently sway Imagining the breeze that blows the cares away The drizzle gives way to the flood Drenching everything wiping the slate clean Run along now
